About

They say that life can be so analogous to that of the stage- the happy and sad, the colors, the lights, the music and sounds and everything else that goes with it.  I agree… life indeed can be kind of like, a big stage.  To the secular world it’s always about how you strut your stuff, deliver your lines, what you put on your back, how you wear it and how you live it.

I have never been actually fond of theaters, not that I hate them though.  Perhaps I just got to love the silverscreen more than the stage for various reasons such as the special effects, the cinematography, the commercial appeal, the popcorns and Coke, and so forth.  Most experiences I’ve had watching theatrical plays can be attributed to the field trips back in grade school, the book reports I had to do about certain plays that the Literature professor requires us to watch or simply because a friend from Drama Club is among the cast and has deprived me the free will of not buying (at least two) tickets to their play.  Those experiences were great but it never got into me permanently.  I have been part of various plays as well and most of them were back in high school and a few during college just so to make up for the lost grades (LOL).  Putting aside the colorful costumes, the stage setups and the popularity of being part of it, one thing that I have always been particular of are the lightings- the spotlights for that matter.  For one thing, it blinds me from seeing the audience thereby making me feel like nobody is watching me.  On the otherhand, isn’t it interesting at how the lightings set up the mood to the story?

Spotlights of Life is about the ins and outs, the highs and lows, the black and white, the factuals and the phonies of life as I see it and as I deal with it.
